Did you also know that winamp version 2.24 (FREEWARE) (1.2 mb) will let you use the Disk Writer plug-in to change ASF files to WAV files which can be converted to mp3 or CD Audio?

I know. I did it with the Sarah McLachlan download from MSN of I Will Remember You (BT Mix).

You can do this once Winamp is open. Use Ctrl + P to bring up the Preferences box. Select Plug-ins, then Output. Double click with your mouse on the Disk Writer Plug-in. Select the directory for output. Click OK. Click Close. Load the ASF file. Press play if it does not automatically.

To make Winamp play sound again, Use Ctrl + P to bring up the Preferences box. Select Plug-ins, then Output. Double click with your mouse on the waveOut Plug-in. Click OK. Click Close. Play as normal.
