In spite of recent performance with regard to the 911 tragedy, these things still exist:
Bush campaigned on the "facts" that he is for the people
Bush get shorter Census Form than the rest of America.. Why?
Bush states Gays and Lesbians are welcome to support his campaign and about Elian
Bush's position on Microsoft
Bush's position on Blaming California for Texas' problems & taking credit for Ann Richard's work
Bush's position on recent hikes in Gas Prices
Bush's position on Birth Control and Sexually Related Devices
Bush's position on drugs (like his personal favorite, crack)
Bush's position on answering the questions of America's Youth (the people of today & tomorrow)
If Bush is for the people as he says he is, why is having all these problems with Gore and Florida? And, why is is only in the state where his brother is Governor? Why does Bush attempt to talk the "common" man (hick)? He went to an Ivy League school.
Did you know that Bush's tax cut works as follows:
Those of us in the 23% tax bracket will now pay 27% (a 4% increase, usually encompassing Retail and Restaurant workers)
Those of us in the 27% tax bracket will now pay 27% (No Change, usually encompassing Lower to Middle Management, factory workers, and other entry level workers).
Those of us in the 33% tax bracket will now pay 27% (a 6% DEcrease, usually Upper Management).
Those of us in the 39% tax bracket will now pay 27% (a 12% DECrease, usually CEO's, people like the RIAA and Record labels).
Did you know this? Did you read what he stands for? Or, did you just vote Republican because you're ignorant, (or) Baptist, (or) judging Clinton on his personal affairs (as if yours would be any better and don't lie, because you know you would have done something similar if not the same thing).
Just wondering..
Why does Governor Bush get a shorter Census Form?
This came from Time Magazine article entitled "Isn't It Time to Make Peace With Your Friendly Census Bureau?" and was written by Jessica Reaves.
"Bush indicated that he would fill out his form, but only because it was the short version — he wasn't so sure he'd be willing to sit down with the longer one."
Bush claims to oppose "governmental intrusion" but he wants to let Microsoft get a listing of the computer programs on your computer every time you use MSN, or visit the Microsoft site.
Why should Gays and Lesbians support someone who does not give a God Damn about what things they need to make their lives safer and more fulfulling? Bush is desperate to get any votes. Evidently, his plot to make Gore look bad with Gas Prices and the "Elian Controversy" (whom no one would even know about if this was not perpetrated by Bush, like this doesn't happen daily with kids and parents).
Business Section D of the Austin American-Statesman had an interesting article regarding George Bush on Wednesday, April 5, 2000. The article is located on page D2, upper left hand column.
Regarding the Microsoft Anti-trust case, Governor Bush issued a statement that if elected President, he would "fully enforce anti-trust laws." This occurred when the Judge declared Microsoft an illegal monopoly.
However, on February 28, 2000, in the state of Washington which loomed as a crucial state in the Republican primary; Governor Bush stated "I think that the great fear is that Microsoft will be broken up." He also stated he was "worried" about the consequences this breakup. He further stated that a Microsoft breakup would "change the engine of growth."
When confronted on his ever changing positions regarding Microsoft, Governor Bush tends to change the subject and avoid giving an actual answer.
Interestingly, over 68% of Microsoft's political contributions have been to the Republican Party. What makes this interesting is that Microsoft offers domestic partnership benefits to all it's employees, regardless of sexual orientation (this means lesbian woman and gay men). The Republican Party majority is against this type of behavior.

What did Governor Bush say when asked questions by many high school students across the country?
He waffled. He did the Texas sidestep. Never once did he directly answer a question. Sound familiar? It should.
Remember the 1980's when the only good thing was the music and even that wasn't so good after 1985. The economy wasn't doing well. Who was in power? The Republicans (Ronald Reagan with Vice President, George Bush, Sr.). And, as the old cliche goes, like father..like son.

Governor Bush tried to attack the Al Gore campaign concerning the big 4 and 1/2 cent gas increase by the Federal Government (keep in mind that Texans pay an extra twenty cents plus state tax levied by the same Governor Bush). The Clinton Administration of which Vice President Al Gore is currently part of told George Bush to look in his own backyard.

Verdict: Evidently, Bush has bought off the local paper, the Austin American-Statesman.
However, the Austin Chronicle remains bought off by the business of the Austin area. Please read more about this at Bad Service Exposed.
Now, the irony in this rejection is that they will print an article slamming the Baptist Church for it's non-response to the incident at Great Hills Baptist Church a few months ago where the Preacher was having his way with 10 year old boys in the congregation.
Further irony is that they will blame San Jose (California) for the traffic problems and the uncontrolled growth in Austin.
Even further irony, they allow Governor Bush to take credit for many of the programs and ideas that was started during the Ann Richards administration. However, they do not acknowledge that it is Governor Bush whom levied a big tax on gasoline prices in Texas and removed the smog test. By removing the smog test, the air pollution levels are allowed to rise (specifically on hot days which Texas only has one or two of those (sarcasm)). One major result of this is lower Federal monies for new highways and other transportation improvements, which means Austin will end up like San Jose (California). Please explain to me how this is San Jose's fault (see the further irony paragraph above this one).
For the record, I have lived in all three (3) major areas in California for a period of one (1) year or more in each. I hate California (for living purposes) but the Austin American-Statesman and Governor Bush are making me defend it.

Letter To The Editor:
Happy Monday. I was amazed to read the front page story about the Cartel bust. I am elated. I am confused. The common person gets busted almost daily but the cartel lasts four years. He is now solving the problem which he caused. Now the Governor Bush is running for President, it's time to clean the drug cartels? I guess you'll do anything to become President.. drugs, bust drug cartels, raise gas prices? Irony or reality? Where is the consistency?
