With that being said, why the company would not replace an unopened pack of MAC 250MB ZIP discs they could easily resell and supply Laura with the correct ZIP disks is beyond me. I'm not sure by the interaction of Laura and the company questions if she just needed MAC 100MB Zip, PC 100MB Zip, or PC 250MB Zip. Any any event, if it is unopened, there should NOT be an issue with an exchange.
This is one of the online businesses which is like many businesses you and I go to at the mall. They think because of their name they it is a privilege and high honor to do business with them. They think there is no competition and you have no choice.
WAKE UP, Corporate America!! The Internet is here and pages such as this can do you harm and there is nothing you can do about it except rectify the situation amicably with the customer. That is called:
Isn't that why the online shopping community grows as it does? People are tired of rude people and shitty service. Price is another reason but I solely believe that if a company offers service, price is really the second issue.
That is one of the main reasons that most retail companies, such as Wal-mart, are upset. They will tell you that it is because of the no-tax (depending on which state you live in) on the internet. The real reason is that they don't want to offer service to the customer anymore. I guess Microwarehouse hasn't realized they aren't the only online retailer we can choose.
Laura:
I can personally recommend the following online companies from my own experience of ordering parts and having defects. These companies have quick and responsive customer service:
- Astak (based in Milpitas, California) at http://www.astak.com (I have purchased AMD processors and memory from them)
- Samspc (based in Tennessee) at http://store.yahoo.com/samspcs1/index.htm (I purchased memory from them as well).
I hope this helps.
I bought a zip drive from Microware house over the net. I also bought
zip disks which were unfortunately not compatible with the driver. They
are unopened and Microwarehouse will not let me exchange them. The dive
and disks were shipped in the same box and the package of the disks has a
red warning label stating that they will not work with the kind of driver that
they were packed with. The disks were $129.95 and are completely useless to
me!
The company is:

This is a copy of my correspondence with the company:

Unfortunately the disks that I got are not compatible with the drive. I
