I received an email (as shown below) from Julie Bernacchi of the Dallas, Ft. Worth, Denton area of Texas. Please, when emailing us here, provide as much information as possible (as I am an older student, in school full-time) so that I may post it as quick as possible. It seems that apartment owners now have sunk to a new low. Most of us are aware of the amount and sometimes number of deposits we must make just to get an apartment. Albeit, though, I was not aware that an apartment owner (human being) would stoop so low as not to refund your deposit, based on normal wear and tear in an apartment. I am familiar with the cleaning which takes place before an apartment is rented. Commonly, it is done with the cheapest supplies (including labor). Is it any wonder that carpets and other items wear out rather quickly? Yet, is it my fault that you are too cheap to invest a little of the overpriced rent you are charging to most consumers?

Evidently, Apple Creek Apartments of Denton, Texas (located at 1610 East McKinney Street, Denton, Texas 76209 @ 940/565-8116) thinks so (you can also post your opinion of this and other Denton, Texas apartment complexes at http://www.dentonapartments.com/forum/).

If someone has an email for this apartment complex, please drop me a line so I may post it here for them (directing them to this page).

Apple Creek Apartments of Denton, Texas

Make a policy of charging tenants when they move out for normal wear and tear such as carpet cleaning.
Refuse to refund deposits.
